Time Miners — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 August 2026 · Version: 1.0

1. Who we are

Time Miners ("we", "us") is a family screen-time app operated by the account holder listed in the App Store / Google Play listing. Contact: privacy@timeminers.app.

2. Accounts are parent-managed

Time Miners is designed to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian. Parents create the household account and each child profile. Children do not create their own accounts and do not provide us their contact information.

3. What we collect

We do not collect advertising identifiers, crash telemetry, location, contacts, photos, or a child's date of birth, and the app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDK of any kind.

We do analyse our own data on our own servers — for example which rewards are popular, and which households look likely to stop subscribing. That analysis stays with the processors listed below and is never used to track anyone across other companies' apps or websites.

4. Screen Time (iOS Family Controls)

On iOS, Time Miners uses Apple's Family Controls / Managed Settings framework to help parents allow, earn, or block apps. Apple provides these app selections to us as opaque tokens — we cannot see the underlying list of apps installed on the device, and this data stays on-device and within Apple's framework. We use it only to apply the parent's chosen restrictions.

5. How we use data

To provide and secure the service, run the earn/spend economy, sync a household across devices, process subscriptions, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or behavioural profiling of children.

6. Sharing

We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers below, each acting on our instructions and solely to provide their function:

ProviderWhat it processesWhy
Supabase Parent account, child profiles, household and activity data Database, authentication and hosting of the app's backend
RevenueCat Subscription and entitlement status, and an account identifier Keeping a subscription valid across a parent's devices
Apple, Google Purchases, and app distribution App stores and billing. They handle payment details; we never see them
Brevo Parent email address and the contents of our emails to them Sending account emails such as sign-in confirmation and password reset
Anthropic The text of a question typed into the Mine Guide help bot, and the conversation it belongs to Most questions are answered by a fixed set of answers built into the app, and nothing leaves the device. Anything else is passed to Anthropic to write a reply. The helper is available to both parents and children; when a child asks, their profile identifier is sent with the request so we can confirm the device is one a parent has linked. Questions are not used to train Anthropic's models. No other household data is sent
Vercel Requests to our website, including the email-sending endpoint Hosting timeminers.app

7. International transfers

Some of the providers above are based outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred to them, it is protected by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an equivalent safeguard recognised under UK GDPR. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards in place by writing to privacy@timeminers.app.

8. Children's privacy

Time Miners is intended to be operated by parents for their children. We rely on verifiable parental setup and consent for any child profile, collect the minimum needed to run the features, and never ask children for contact information or serve them ads. Parents can view, edit, or delete their children's profiles at any time in the Control Room.

9. Retention & deletion

We keep data while the household account is active. A parent can delete a child profile or the whole household, which removes the associated data, subject to limited legal/financial retention (e.g. purchase records).

10. Your rights

Depending on your region you may access, correct, export, or delete personal data, and withdraw consent. Contact privacy@timeminers.app.

11. Changes

We will update this policy as the app evolves and post the new version here with a revised date.
